Frequently Asked Questions regarding IMVU use and products

Q: hi please can u help me. i bought your rose vine armband tattoo today but find when i use it it removes my eyelashes!! please can u explain why as i feel my avi needs eyelashes (standard issue ones - black medium eyelashes by danielle sour) and would rather them than the tatto making my armband tatto purchase useless if this can not be rectified. I would dearly love to also purchase your rose vine belly tattoo but i am concerned this also would react in the same way. Also can 2 of your tattoos not be worn at the same time?

A: What you have is something called a mesh channel conflict. Products on IMVU must be numbered 1 through 99. The first 13 or so are body parts. The rest of the numbers are available for mesh creators to use to create products. With all of the products available on IMVU, occasionally you will find that two products use the same mesh channel and cannot be used at the same time. I feel your pain on the eyelashes issue. I did not create the original mesh for the tattoos so I have no control over which mesh channel is used, but I do have a solution that may help. Try using a head that comes with normally longer lashes or perhaps put on the tattoos and go in the dressing room and try on eyelashes until you find some that work with your tattoo without popping off. As to the last question, only one of the tattoos can be used at a time because they all use the same mesh channel. I am sorry for the inconvenience but I hope that I've helped explain how these things sometimes work.

Q: Hi. I purchased this a dress from you but now it seems to have black circles round the dress, like it became a mesh or summat. Could you fix it pls? Thank you x

A: Sometimes updates at IMVU cause glitches with certain products such as black areas around products that weren't there before. The best way to keep up with any problems with the IMVU client is to check the IMVU forums for bugs & testing and Latest News & Releases. Also, sometimes products are simply slow to load and if you're patient, once fully loaded, will behave as they're supposed to.
