To make an image with transparency:

1) Download Microsoft GIF Animator by clicking here.

2)Do a print screen of your image (Get the image loaded in your monitor where you want it and press the "Prnt Scrn" button on your keyboard. Mine is located just up and left from the insert button) and paste it into paint.(Or you can use an image you may already have available in your computer)

Paint everything except the image you want to use lime green
(in the default Paint palette).

3)In Paint, go to Edit>Select All>Copy

4)Open Microsoft GIF Animator

5)Under the Options tab, make sure that Import Color Pattern is set to "Optimal Palette" and Import Dither Method is set to "Error Defusion"

6)Under the Image tab, the Undraw Method should be set to "Leave" and check the box beside Transparency. This should by default be the green color from paint, but if not, click on the box beside Transparent Color and choose the color yourself.

7)Save the image as a .gif

8)Preview your image by clicking on the arrow to the left of the question mark in the toolbar.

TADA! You did it!

You can change the Error Defusion and Optimal Palette settings if desired, as well as the transparency color, but I've given you the BEST method for making an avatar with transparency for IMVU.

Now you've made a sticker and you want to submit it to the catalog huh? Okay..here's how you do it.

1)In the IMVU catalog, go to the Stickers portion of the catalog and click on the section in which you wish to create a sticker. Select any sticker listed and open that sticker's product description. Towards the bottom of the page, there will be a section that looks like this:

Click on "Make Sticker".

2)This is what the page will look like when you've clicked the link to make a sticker:

This example shows the category listing as Critters but you will be able to make your own selection in that portion of course. Make sure that you complete all of the areas shown in red above and that your catalog icon is EXACTLY 100x80 before you submit. If you have problems making an icon, you can find directions and free backgrounds by clicking here.

That's it! Congratulations!!! You just made your first sticker!
